Starting out in 1965, Carroll Childers built the internationally-renowned Carroll Childers Company on the back of the first pre-fabricated pumping station ever developed. He continued perfecting it and in 1981, hired Dale Bowman, who took the company to new heights. Dale designed and programmed the world’s first computer operated pumping station – using a logic controller in place of the old electro-mechanical systems. Innovation, technology, and quality built a company whose customers spanned from Saudi Arabia to San Angelo.
When Carroll Childers retired, it was clear who his successor would be. Dale Bowman had been innovating in the pump station industry for 30 years and wasn’t even close to being done. As Pumps, Motors and Controls, he would continue to build the world’s best pump stations, use a vertically-integrated service model to ensure the water always stayed on for customers, and provide the most personal and boutique level of service available in the pump station industry.
